PRism Awards

Our community is home to excellent communications work year after year, and the PRism Awards are our annual opportunity to celebrate. This awards program involves recognitions for public awards programs and tactical elements, as well as for individual communicators who reflect the qualities highlighted in our special awards category.
PRSA membership is not required—all Rochester communicators are invited to take part!

Program & Element Entries
Rochester’s PRism Awards recognize complete public relations programs and tactical elements incorporating sound insights and analysis, planning, execution and evaluation. They must meet the highest standards of performance in public relations to be considered.
Entries must focus on work produced between January 2025 and March 2026.

About Our Special Awards
This year, PRSA Rochester is also recognizing individuals for the following Special Awards.
PRSA Rochester Chapter Rising Star Award
This award recognizes a public relations professional, with no more than seven years of experience in the field, who demonstrates exceptional competence, skill and leadership potential. Nominations should qualify how the candidate has successfully utilized the function of public relations to achieve significant, measurable outcomes for their company or clients.
PRSA Rochester Executive of the Year Award
This nominee is not currently a full time public relations or marketing practitioner and does not lead the public relations or marketing department. Nominate a local executive, who has reached the Senior Vice President level or above, who has demonstrated successful utilization of public relations, and has embraced and fostered the field.
PRSA Rochester Educator of the Year Award
The PRSA Rochester Chapter invites you to nominate a local educator at the college and university level who has helped to strengthen the communications industry through educating its future professionals. Nominees should reflect a dedication to instilling knowledge and inspiring communications careers.
