Calling junior and senior communications majors!
Register today here for a FREE event to create and pitch a PR campaign to implement a community support service for Rochester City School youth.
What:
The PR Apprentice Program is an intense two-day initiative to create a PR plan for Ibero American Action League’s 2017 Summer of Opportunity Program to pair area professionals to serve as mentors to Rochester City School District freshmen students.
Students will work in small groups (PR agencies) and meet local business and communications professionals who will work with participants as coaches. Several industry leaders and influencers will participate on the judging panel (as the client) and determine which team is the winner based on creating the best PR plan.
Ibero American Action League will implement the communications strategies and tactics developed by the winning team.
Organized by members of the Public Relations Society of America’s Rochester Chapter Diversity Committee and Young Professionals Committee. All participants will come away with real-world hands-on experience and a professional portfolio sample.
When:
September 30 (6-9 p.m.) & October 1, 2016 (9 a.m.-5 p.m.)
