PRSA is proud to launch Coffee and Conversations, a series of events aimed at bringing together public relations professionals to exchange best practices and advice. The August session will focus on crisis communications and issues management.

Attendees of the program will break into small groups and take a deep dive into several case studies guided by a moderator, while sharing how their own organizations and agencies have managed tough issues and/or crisis situations.

Learn how companies handled an unexpected event that threatened to shatter people’s trust in its business and/or health and safety of its clients.  

To handle the crisis or urgent issue, the companies used:

• Storytelling and a steady stream of “good news” stories to resurrect its brand
• A lot of research and facts to counter a national media investigation into its products
• Transparency to retain trust amongst its stakeholders during a crisis

The event will conclude with a debrief session, where moderators will report out to the larger group key take-a-ways from their discussions.
