WHAT:

The PR Apprentice Program is an intense two-day project to create a PR plan for Ibero’s Early Childhood Center's Lending Library, a program designed to promote the importance of literacy to parents of children enrolled at Ibero’s Early Childhood Center.

You will work in teams of three or four and meet local business and communications professionals who will work with you as mentors and role models. Several industry leaders and influencers will participate as the judging panel to decide which PR Apprentice team is the winner based on creating the best PR plan for the client.

Organized by the Public Relations Society of America’s Rochester Chapter Diversity Committee and Young Professionals Committee, the emphasis of the Rochester PR Apprentice Program is on cooperation and creativity in creating a PR plan that will help raise the visibility and importance of a client organization/program.

WHO:

All junior and senior communications majors from area colleges to take part in a FREE two-day PR event, the Rochester Public Relations Apprentice Program. Get real-world, hands-on experience as you develop a dual-language awareness campaign for Ibero American Action League's Early Childhood Center.

WHY:

Ibero will implement the communications strategies and tactics developed by the winning team.

All participants will come away with real-world experience, mentors and portfolio content.
