Learn to tap into the power of bloggers and social influencers at PRSA Rochester's half-day workshop, presented in partnership with St. John Fisher College.
Registration opens at 7:30 am, with the workshop beginning at 8:15. Breakfast and beverages will be provided.
Attendees will learn about blogger relations and social media influencers. Specific topics include how to find and identify influencers and how to build and maintain a healthy relationship that is mutually beneficial. Relationship tips include how to walk the line between pushy and professional and how to craft pitches when in unfamiliar territory. Speakers will include information on tools that make the identification, relationship-building and measurement process seamless.

Tina Clark, Manager, Social & Digital Strategy, Roberts Communications
Tina will be presenting on what influencer relations is, and why it should be an important component of your communications strategy. She will cover what defines an influencer, why it is important to hear from them, the different categories of influencers that exist, and the planning that goes into an influencer program.
Tina brings over 20 years of experience and expertise to Roberts —from content and influencer marketing, digital advertising and social media management, to user experience design. Tina has worked on everything from large B2C sponsorships for Kodak to Mommy Blogger influencer campaigns for an internet startup to small B2B recruitment campaigns for a local non-profit.
Kyle Psaty, Product Marketing Director, Brand Networks

Kyle will be focusing on the tactical portion of influencer relations. He will talk about how to identify influencers, the tools that can contribute to conducting influencer research, and the process for planning and conducting the outreach.
Kyle is the Director of Marketing at Brand Networks, a global social software and services provider offering best-in-class tools and strategy to over 650 of the world's top brands and agencies. During his career, he's built and executed social and content marketing strategies for multinational corporatoins, professional sports teams and early-stage startups. Locally, Kyle volunteers his skills and knowledge as an advisor to the Rochester Angel Network and the Memorial Art Gallery.
Allison Conte, Senior Activation Manager, Public Relations, Eric Mower & Associates
Mary Beth Frizzell, Associate Content Creator, Public Relations, Eric Mower & Associates
Allison and Mary Beth will be presenting on how to create and execute paid blogger campaigns. They will discuss why this component may become a part of your strategy, when the right time to use it is, the ethics behind it and the importance of following FTC regulations, building contracts for paid bloggers, and how to measure the success of these campaigns.
Allison concepts, develops and executes social, publicity, influencer, and experiential campaigns to help brands activate consumer engagement. Her role includes integrating public and influencer relations, social media, online and offline strategy and events for national and regional clients and brands. Allison has executed everything from food cook-offs and pond hockey tournaments to retail events and surprise and delight initiatives for clients including Labatt USA, Seagram's Escapes, Magic Hat Brewing Co., Applebee's and Lactalis American Group, among others.
Mary Beth executes a variety of consumer events, manages media relations and crafts influencer programs to help brands deliver experiences, messages, and products to their targets. Her roster of regional and national clients includes Ford Dealers of WNY, Rich Products, Seagram's Escapes and Gerber Childrenswear. Prior to EMA, Mary Beth worked with New Era Cap Company, Inc. in a public and community relations role.
